PEVA is an acronym for polyethylene vinyl acetate. While still a vinyl, PEVA is non chlorinated. Chlorine is the source of environmental health concerns with PVC, such as the generation of dioxin, a highly carcinogenic chemical produced in both the manufacture and disposal of PVC. Due to is persistent and bio accumulative nature dioxin has become a global problem.

The Gerber White is our green product made with PEVA. They are very light soft and comfortable. The PEVA is only about half the thickness of our other PVC pants but has demonstrated it's tough and durable quality during our testing. One significant feature of these pants is that they crinkle ...A LOT. As parents we know the value of this when making sure your big toddler is fully diapered. However, your big toddler may be embarrassed and humiliated when every place they go, every step they take, will let everyone in earshot know that they are still in diapers.

Sizing is nearly identical to the PVC vinyl pants which a few exceptions. Dimensions are all identical (within plastic pant manufacturing tolerance) except that the leg holes won't stretch out as much with the Gerber White Pants. As a comparison in the XL size the PVC pants will comfortable stretch to 24" circumference compared to the Gerber White at 21". You shouldn't wear them stretch to these dimensions but if the thickest part of the thigh is 24" you will need to go up a size with the Gerber White. Another difference between the two is the elasticitly of the materials. PEVA has much less stretch which is probably why they crinkle and probably why we are seeing much longer product life in our testing. This can also effect the perceived fit.
